Gabrielle rifkind

Gabrielle's work has always been interested in the paradox. She says:

'We need to search for the opposite to find any resolution within ourselves. Whether in politics, in art, or in ourselves, there is space and empty space, harmony and discord, dark and light, hope and depression. For most of our lives we walk a tightrope, without ever calibrating these internal and external opposites. Without being able to find the other, we seldom know who we are.'

Gabrielle is a dedicated artist, a psychotherapist, an art therapist, a group analyst and spends much of her time working in conflict resolution in the Middle East.

In the harsh world of geopolitics, Gabrielle's spirit and her ability to think outside the box are critical ingredients of her work. The series of paintings ‘The Fog of Peace’ was created in conjunction with her book of the same name about the human face of conflict resolution.

Her most recent body of work is called 'Living in the Paradox: Everything Fitted Perfectly Together and Nothing Did'.
